This was the first World Leadership Conference to be held outside of the United States.

In Habakkuk 1:5 God talks about his people being "utterly amazed". A modern phrase that fits that mental image is "Blown Away." That is just what all of us in the L.A. Church have been as we have seen God's mighty works in the past few weeks.

Revolution II is our first sequel. In our Last Issue we reprinted Kip McKean's article "Revolution Through Restoration - From Jerusalem to Rome; From Boston to Moscow" originally printed in Upside Down Magazine in April 1992.

What more fitting a theme for this July 4th issue than revolution? Two years ago Kip McKean wrote Revolution Through Restoration for the Upside Down Magazine.

Three weeks ago in Paris, the World Sector Leaders and World Sectors Administrators finalized the Six Year Plan. This is the plan to plant a church by the year 2000 in every nation under heaven that has a city of at least 100,000 people.

Since we began the Los Angeless Bulletin, I have been looking forward to this issue in particular honour to Kip McKean on his fortieth Birthday. Keeping with our theme of movie titles, "A Man for all Seasons" immediately came to mind to describe him.

In only eight weeks, the Los Angeles Church of Christ will be taking our special Missions Contribution totalling almost $1.5 Million. Since many of you have become disciples in the past year, this is your first time to sacrifice for world missions.

Future Shock, a book by Alvin Toffer, speculates on our future society as it is shaped by the rapid changes that we all face. Change is unavoidable fact; How we adapt to change is our decision.

Gloria and I were shaken from sound sleep in the wee hours of Monday, January 17, and we knew immediately that we had just experienced our first earthquake. No one needed an alaram clock that morning.
